Les Cooke's Fargo Truck
This 1938 Fargo truck owned and operated by Les Cooke, who hauled ice from Belle Ewart to Big Bay Point, was struck by a train at the CNR crossing at Concession 5, Innisfil, on August 2, 1941. Mr. Cooke survived the crash with minor injuries. He later moved from Big Bay to Barrie and started Cooke Cartage and Storage. Mr. Orville Daniel "O.D." Cameron had worked at the garage before enlisting in the R.C.A.S.C., and was on leave when this picture was taken. His home was Lot 18, Concession 8, Innisfil. The Alcona Garage was on the corner of Concession 8 and Highway 11., IHS2922
